i have a mongoose so does my friend his brake pedal is loose and it brakes strong mine is the opposite should i do this or go to the mechanics i am just a kid please answer

Well the fact that you have a mongoose could factor into your brakes. The way it factors in is that they are really shitty, just like mongoose bikes. By the way go to a mechanic, that way you can have it done right. This adjustment could cost only about 15.00 to 20.00 dollars.

One thing to keep in mind with bike mechanics when adjusting or fixing is: never overtighten anything: “just enough” is the rule if you don’t want to ruin nuts or screws, “feel the metal stretch” and stop.

this was the best one yet. the others didn’t talk about the tension springs having anything to do with the alignment. it’s also a plus that one of the pads didn’t align right in the vid. this was part of my problem. now it’s fixed. thanks.
