There is a great deal of history and info out there in respect to the history and the beginnings of mountain biking, with some being acknowledged and some that relies on who has the best firm of PRs.

Presently, we believe that the history of the all-terrain bike is most apparent in California. There are a few areas that claim to be the 1st community for mountain biking, albeit each and every history book will tell you Marin County.

The activity of all-terrain biking has taken many twists and turns over the last few hundred years. Even though there are a few that say different things about the history and the birth, we know one thing for certain – that one thing has led to another thing and the activity of mountain-biking was created.
