Mountain Bike Racing Equipment Checkist

I easily recount my very first mountain bike race. When I arrived, and was about to get dressed into my race outfit, I discovered that I had not packed my clothes! Just joking. Hence, the reason I remembered the clothes is that I had read through my checklist of each thing I would require.I decided to publish my list, as I don’t want you to forget anything.

You ought to print this out and put it by your bike stuff so you can check everything off aspack it in your car. If you are gearing up for your first race, or your eighty-first, its better to be safe than sorry.

There is a great deal of history and info out there in respect to the history and the beginnings of mountain biking, with some being acknowledged and some that relies on who has the best firm of PRs.

Some are saying that mountain biking started with the Buffalo Soldiers, which was a turn of the century infantry outfit who tailored bikes to carry accessories over the rough and tough land. It began in August of 1896, over the course of eight hundred miles. Their mission was basic – to appraise mountain bikes for military use in the hardest
    terrain.

Other people say it was the France’s Club of Velo Cross that initiated all-terrain biking. The club was comprised of twenty adult bikers from Paris, who between 1951 and 1956, generated a sport that resembles present day mountain biking.

It possibly could have also been J. Fin Scott, who was the 1st mountain biker in the U.S. In 1953 he assembled what he referred to as a a “Woodsie Bike”, incorporating a diamond shaped frame, balloon tires, flat handlebars, and cantilever brakes. He was more than 20 years head of his time. Even though he remained an off road enthusiast, there were people at that time who didn’t share that same infatuation.

Presently, we believe that the history of the all-terrain bike is most apparent in California. There are a few areas that claim to be the 1st community for mountain biking, albeit each and every history book will tell you Marin County.

The activity of all-terrain biking has taken many twists and turns over the last few hundred years. Even though there are a few that say different things about the history and the birth, we know one thing for certain – that one thing has led to another thing and the activity of mountain-biking was created.
